We clean burners, set pilots, replace cracked hoses, and leak-test. A heater that yellow-flames or smells is not “just dusty” — it is incomplete combustion. We will not leave that running in a closed bedroom.
Ventilation is part of the job. If the room has no air path, we say so. This is the same safety line we take on gas geysers.
